Superbowl Adverts 2019 - Our Top Picks!

If like me, you get more excited about the adverts during the Superbowl rather than the game itself then you will love this blog post! In the post, we cover all the very best adverts from this year’s Superbowl which took place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Aside from the half time performance by Maroon 5, this year saw another cluster of celebrities involved in this year’s Superbowl including; Harrison Ford, Cardi B, Steve Carell, Lil Jon and Charlie Sheen.

Below, you will find all my top picks from this year’s Superbowl adverts, which are your favourites?

Pepsi – More Than OK

Despite being a Coca Cola person, this was one of my top picks from this year’s set of adverts, not only because it has the all-star cast of Cardi B, Steve Carrell and Lil John but because it’s #relatable. We have all been there, ask for a Coke and the server says, ‘Is Pepsi ok?’. This advert has a tongue in cheek approach to this and says of course it’s ok!

Pringles – Sad Device Commercial

Another favourite of mine, this advert highlights the huge range of flavours Pringles offer and encourages you to mix and match. The focus of the advert is based around a voice search device expressing its disappointment at not being able to consume the tasty Pringles… because it has no arms. Sadly, the humans have not sympathy for the device and asks it to play the classic tune Funky Town.

Expensify – #Expensifythis

This music video turned Superbowl advert is well made and features rapper 2 Chainz and actor Adam Scott. The moral of the story is that it doesn’t matter how busy (or famous) you are there is always time to sort your finances with Expensify. Aside from the good humour in the advert, the song and video alone are actually very good, and some versions of the video online have an interactive feature included.

Avocados from Mexico – Top Dog

Who knew combining avocado and dogs would be so entertaining! This advert is full of humour and turns the concept of Cruft’s upside down by putting the dog in control, I’m especially a fan of the special correspondent Charles.

Amazon – Not Everything Makes the Cut

This advert has already been viewed over 38 million times on YouTube and clearly a lot of money was invested into the commercial. The main message behind the advert was to highlight how Alexa is being installed in to different devices, however, sometimes it just doesn’t work out. Despite the advert featuring one of my all-time favourite actors Harrison Ford it doesn’t quite do it for me, you can see they spend time and money on it, but it just isn’t as compelling compared to others, in my opinion.

Devour – Food Porn

Despite being banned from the Superbowl this controversial advert from frozen meal producer Devour has already reached over 15 million views on YouTube. The advert is very entertaining and is based around a man who is obsessed with frozen meals and things go a bit too far…

Budweiser – Wind Never Felt Better

This advert is not going to blow you away ;), however, it does have an important eco-friendly message behind it and will help us all drink a little easier tonight. The commercial highlights how Budweiser is now brewed by wind power showing the company is environmentally friendly in their production techniques.

Mr Peanut – Mr. Peanut is Always There in Crunch Time

This advert is all about Mr Peanut saving the day, seriously who wants to eat kale chips whilst watching football?! The advert starring Charlie Sheen shows Mr Peanut making a last-minute dash to save the day before it all goes nuts!
